    Day 1

Entebbe to Kibale Forest. Day 2: Morning chimpanzee trek; afternoon at leisure or an optional bird-rich swamp walk. Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, lined with hippos, buffalo and one of the densest concentrations of water birds in Africa. Day 4: Game drives in the Kasenyi plains, then south to the Ishasha sector, known for lions that rest in the fig trees — a genuine local behaviour, though never guaranteed on the day. Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi through the forest edge. Day 6: Mountain gorilla trek in Bwindi. Day 7: Return to Entebbe.
