Day 1
Arrive Kigali, city tour including the Genocide Memorial — a sober, important part of understanding the country. Day 2: Transfer to the Virungas; afternoon at leisure. Day 3: Mountain gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park. Day 4: Drive south along Lake Kivu, one of Africa's great lakes, to the edge of Nyungwe. Afternoon at leisure by the water. Day 5: Chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe Forest, followed by its canopy walkway suspended high above the rainforest. Day 6: Return to Kigali for departure.
